Studia Filologiczne
Philological Studies has been published since 2007; it provides reliable information and assistance for all literary scholars, linguists, and practical English teachers.
The volumes are devoted to linguistic, literary, glottodidactic and cultural subjects, which are addressed to Polish and foreign scholars. Articles can be published in English, Polish, Czech and German. The main objective of the publication is to exchange ideas, concerns, experiences, as well as to familiarize the reader with an overview of scientific achievements, organized conferences, institutes’ activities, etc., which is the best possible form of information transfer and exchange of philological ideas. The journal aims at connecting interests of academic researchers and common readers who are involved and/or interested in philological issues; the content is organized in the following sections:

Scientific Section, dedicated to information about the current status and achievements of scientific research in the field of philology, as well as the comparative work. |
2. |
Review and/or Report Section, which includes information about interesting books appearing in the publishing market. This facilitates vast orientation in the newly published sources. |
3. |
Chronicle Section, in which the reader receives an information about scientific conferences devoted to the issues of language and literature, as well as s/he can read reports on the activities of the Institute of Modern Languages Studies (PWSZ in Raciborz) and students’ scientific organizations. |
The first Editor-in-Chief of the journal was prof. dr hab. Mieczysław Balowski. Currently, this function is performed by dr hab. Paweł Marcinkiewicz. The structure and format of Studia Filologiczne was adopted from Bohemistyka.
Originally, the journal has was published in a printed form. In 2016, however, it was made available on-line.
